飛魚~

October 11, 2011

It's flying! And half-eaten. (Ignore the hand).

I feel a bit too sleepy to write a coherent post, so here’s a picture of a yummy azuki bean taiyaki I ate the other day. It’s pretty much the only fish, as a vegetarian, I will ever eat. This is because taiyaki is a non-sentient pastry. Anyway, the last time I had a chance to eat one was at a Japanese culture festival in Melbourne in 2001 (and I’m pretty sure it was the first time I ate red bean paste, too). These ones are not too ridiculously priced at NTD$38 (AUD$1.25) each, and also come in cream and cheese (though not cream cheese) varieties. So basically it is my duty as a card-carrying Cheese Lover to try one. Or 41.

I’m going to be very fat when I roll back to Australia. (But it’ll be worth it).
